Material influence:

Stainless steel/aluminum: cutting thickness is about 60-70% of carbon steel (e.g. Hypertherm 200A cuts stainless steel about 25-30mm).

Copper: need to reduce current, thickness reduced by about 50%.

Cutting quality:

Hypertherm: smoother edge, smaller groove angle (±1°), suitable for high precision requirements.

Huayuan: cost-effective, suitable for rough processing of medium and thick plates, but may require secondary grinding.

Gas selection:

Carbon steel: oxygen plasma (thicker, faster) or air (low cost).

Recommendations:

Budget limited + medium and thick plates: choose Huayuan (e.g. carbon steel below 20mm).

High precision/stainless steel: choose Haibao (e.g. Hypertherm Powermax series).
